Overview
The IU Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Marketing expands your knowledge of marketing specifically in the areas of international branding and marketing of products and services. Among other things, you will learn how to implement quality customer relationship marketing (CRM) and increase customer value through an understanding of long-term customer loyalty. In your future career, your team, your business partners, and especially your customers will be the central focus of your work which you will manage with energy and expertise.

Entry Requirements
Academic and Work experience criteria:
- Completed degree from a public or officially recognised university/higher education institution.
- At least a “satisfactory” or Grade C equivalent earned in your previous education.
- For our MBA (90-ECTS), your previous degree must amount to 180 ECTS.
- You will need to submit proof of at least one year’s qualified work experience completed prior to the start of the study programme (the work experience must be gained after the completion of your undergraduate studies).
- For MBA programmes, you will also need to have completed a second year of professional work experience before graduating.
Study Content
Once you graduate with an MBA in International Marketing, you can analyse brand values and determine the factors that drive consumer-based brands. You’ll be able to confidently develop targeted marketing strategies and communicate them convincingly to your team. Marketing is a diverse field. You might lead marketing activities for business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-customer (B2C) companies or even political or charitable organisations. No matter where your path takes you, you will lead with a great instinct for market potential and risk, crises management and dealing with clients, social media opportunities and more.
Our Master’s degree programme has a modular structure which means that you’ll study specific topics that are divided into modules. COMMUNICATION MANAGER
As Communication Manager of a company, you are responsible for smooth internal and external communication and are supposed to increase the brand presence. Your tasks include the conception and introduction of PR strategies, management consulting, coaching and the execution of campaigns. A confident handling of crisis and extreme situations as well as change management should not be a problem for you.
BRAND MANAGER
As Brand Manager, it is your task to strategically develop, position and coordinate the brand or image of a company. The goal is to develop a brand so that it has a high recognition value and stands out from other companies in the competition. Your tasks therefore include cross-product strategic planning by means of effective external communication. In the course of this, as Brand Manager you will design innovative, cross-channel media campaigns that are implemented, analysed and optimised both nationally and internationally.
MARKETING MANAGER
As Marketing Manager, you are responsible for the development, planning and implementation of a company’s marketing strategies. All marketing activities as well as the achievement of the defined marketing goals are continuously controlled and monitored by you. Through your strategic activities, you help shape the company and thus bear a high level of responsibility.
Dual degree with London South Bank University
With the IU and LSBU (London South Bank University) dual degree track, you get a unique opportunity – you can choose if you want to graduate with both a German and a British graduation certificate, without any extra academic requirements. The study programmes at IU and at LSBU are coordinated and therefore equivalent to each other.
Start your studies at IU, and if you want to apply for your British certificate* all you have to do is send in your application and pay the registration fee. You’ll then be awarded a degree from LSBU following your graduation if all of your study requirements have been fulfilled successfully.
