IU International University of Applied Sciences
IU International University of Applied Sciences(“IU Internationale Hochschule”) is a private, state-accredited university of applied sciences in Germany.
It offers English-language campus-based courses, dual German-language study programs as well as part-time and distance-learning courses in German and English. The current name of the university goes back to the university’s original, English-language name: International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef – Bonn (IUBH).
- The university was founded in 1998 and is composed of four independent departments/study models:
IU Campus Studies, with a focus on international management programmes; IU Distance Learning, IU Part-Time, and IU Dual Study. The university serves about 70.000 students in total.
All current courses are state-accredited (or currently in the accreditation process), bear the seal of the German Accreditation Council, are certified and have received various awards, e.g. the FIBAA Premium Seal.[1] IU is also the only German university in the Hotel Schools of Distinction Association. It is a member of the Global Compact networks, such as the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).
IU International University of Applied Sciences offers more than 200 Bachelor, Master and MBA study programmes in the following areas:
•Architecture & Construction
• Design & Media
• Healthcare & Social Work
• IT, Logistics & Technology
• Communications & Marketing
• Aviation, Hospitality & Event Management [5]
• Management & Economics
• Pedagogy & Psychology
• HR & Law
IU have coordinated some of their most popular programmes with London South Bank University (LSBU) , a public University based in London and established in 1892 ,to have equivalent study content. This means students have the opportunity to acquire a British degree in addition to their German degree from IU.
Once students successfully complete their IU degree, they will automatically receive the LSBU validated degree on top of their certificate from IU. This gives students an extra advantage when applying to jobs internationally, without the need for extra studies or to travel to the UK.
Students at GPC enrolled on IU degree programs can benefit from this opportunity for select programs
